The seventh season of the Fairy Tail anime series is directed by Shinji Ishihira and produced by A-1 Pictures and Bridge.^[1] Like the residue of the series, information technology follows the adventures of Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfilia of the fictional guild Fairy Tail. The flavor contains three story arcs. The first 27 episodes proceed the "Yard Magic Games" ( 大魔闘演武編 , Dai Matō Enbu-hen ) arc, which adapts textile from the beginning of the 36th to the middle of the 40th book of the Fairy Tail manga past Hiro Mashima. Focusing on Natsu and the others who have been frozen in time for vii years on Sirius Island, the members go on to participate in the M Magic Games, an annual competition to decide the Kingdom of Fiore's strongest guild. Yet, they come across a conspiracy involving a time automobile called Eclipse and the imminent destruction of the kingdom. The side by side 24 episodes form an original storyline called "Eclipse Celestial Spirits" ( 日蝕星霊編 , Nisshoku Seirei-hen ), in which the twelve celestial spirits of the Zodiac insubordinate against their owners Lucy and Yukino after being transformed by Eclipse's black magic. The remaining 39 episodes contain the "Tartaros" ( 冥府の門編 , Tarutarosu-hen ) ^[a] arc,^{[two] [3]} which adapts textile from the residuum of the manga's 40th volume to the heart of the 49th book, depicting Fairy Tail's battle with a nighttime lodge of Zeref'south demons who aim to resurrect East.Due north.D., their master and Zeref's ultimate creation.

The flavor ran from Apr five, 2014, to December 26, 2015, on TV Tokyo.^[iv] The offset DVD compilation was released with the first outcome of Fairy Tail Monthly magazine on July 17, 2014, renumbered as "Vol. 1".^{[ citation needed ]} The flavour is simulcast by North American licensor Funimation Entertainment, subtitled in English language on their website, and by Crunchyroll.^[v]

Fourteen pieces of theme music were used for this season: vii opening and seven ending themes. For episodes 176 to 188, the opening theme is titled "Masayume Chasing" and performed by BoA.^{[6] [1]} For episodes 189 to 203, the second opening theme is "Strike Dorsum" performed by Back-On.^[vii] For episodes 204 to 214, the tertiary opening theme is "Mysterious Magic" performed by Do as Infinity.^[8] The quaternary opening, used from episodes 215 to 226, is "Break Out" performed past V6. The fifth opening theme, used from episodes 227 to 239, are "Yumeiro Graffiti" ( ユメイログラフィティ , Yumieiro Gurafiti , lit. "Dream-Colored Graffiti") by Tackey and Tsubasa. The sixth opening theme is "Never-Cease Tale" performed past Tatsuyuki Kobayashi and Konomi Suzuki for episodes 240 to 252. For the remainder of the season, the seventh opening theme is "Believe in Myself" performed by Border of Life. The ending themes, used with their corresponding openings, are "Kimi to Kare to Boku to Kanojo to" ( 君と彼と僕と彼女と , lit. "Y'all, Him, Me, and Her") performed by Exhale, "Kokoro no Kagi" ( 心の鍵 , lit. "Heart's Key") performed by May J, "Kimi no Mirai" ( キミノミライ , lit. "Your Futurity") performed by ROOT 5, "Don't Permit Me Downwardly" performed by Nishiuchi, "Never Ever" past Tokyo Girls' Way, "Forever Here" performed past Yoko Ishida, and "Azayaka na Tabiji" ( 鮮やかな旅路 , lit. "Vivid Journey") performed by Megumi Mori.
